Aiseesoft iPad 2 Video Converter is a commercial video converter. It can be used to convert video files of many formats to the few formats that the iPad 2 will play natively. These formats are H.264, MPEG-4, WebM Video, M4V and MOV. Those formats can be played by most Apple devices, too.
This application comes with a video editor that allows you to trim and crop your videos and adjust their brightness, contrast and saturation. The graphical user interface is quite nice. I like the colors and the distribution of the elements of the interface. Right at the middle of the screen, there is a space where the files in your conversion queue will be listed. For each file that you add, you will see a snapshot, and the duration of the file, along with the conversion format that you assigned to it. You can easily delete files by clicking on the little trash can button.
This converter supports GPU acceleration, so if you have one of the supported GPUs, then you can experience a considerable boost in conversion performance.
In my testing, I converted an MKV file into H.264. The process was quite fast, and the resulting file played well on VLC.
